Once upon a time there was a beautiful castle ...
... and still there is!
The castle of Wiener Neustadt - from a fortress at the border to an international meeting point
This Comenius project is going on at the Bundesgymnasium Babenbergerring in Wiener Neustadt since the start of the school year 2004/2005.
As an international project it will be done in cooperation with schools in Rome/Italy, Trujillo/Spain, Jelgava/Latvia and Orth/Danube/Austria.
As a central topic the castle as a common European inheritance is in the foreground. Starting from this issue different subjects - always with a reference to our time of today -- will be touched.
By the large number of the female participants a main emphasis has arisen for the role "of the woman in the Middle Ages" in the first year. To deal with this subject will influence the work of the next year - always pointing to the time we live.
This project is supported by the European Union and our sponsors. As partners we cooperate closely with the town museum of Wiener Neustadt.
In the year 2006 this project got a support of M:O (museum online). The special topic of Museum:Online "From a fortress at the border to an international meeting point" is found here.
